Synopsis:

A Dona do Barato tells the story of Patience Portefeux (Isabelle Huppert), a French-Arabic police translator who specializes in wiretapping for the anti-narcotics unit. One day, while listening to the wanted drug dealers, she discovers that one of them is the son of the fantastic woman who takes care of her mother. She decides to protect him and is brought into the middle of a network of drug dealers.
