Synopsis: After they've lost a baby, what Hanna and her husband Benjamin want most is to try to have another child. To this end, she relies on her faith in God, and for that reason she studies the Torah daily, even if in the community where she lives this practice is restricted to men. When an epidemic ravages the region and the blame immediately falls on the Jews, Hanna tries to use her mysticism to summon a golem, unaware that the creature is far more dangerous than she realizes.
