Synopsis:

On the west side of New York City, the Jets and Sharks are Polish and Puerto Rican gangs, respectively, who hate each other and fight each other to dominate territory in their neighborhood. The fight intensifies when the two leaders of rival gangs fall in love, turning the scene into a total tragedy.
