Synopsis:

In Belfast, in the tumultuous late 1960s Northern Ireland, young Buddy (Jude Hill) traverses the landscape of working class struggles, amid cultural changes and extreme violence. Buddy dreams of a better, glamorous future that will get him out of the troubles he faces at the moment, but in the meantime, he takes solace in charismatic Pa (Jamie Dornan) and Ma (Caitríona Balfe), along with their grandparents (Judie Dench and Ciarán Hins) who tell wonderful stories.
