Synopsis:

The film tells about the aftermath of the explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, when hundreds of people sacrificed their lives to clean up the site of the catastrophe and to prevent an even greater disaster that could have turned much of the European continent into an uninhabitable zone. The film's unlikely hero is a firefighter at the power plant.
