Synopsis: Rio de Janeiro is not at all familiar to Joana (Jeanne Boudier), a teenager whose father was held hostage as a political prisoner during the years of dictatorship in Brazil. She spent most of her life in Paris, the city where the rest of her family went into exile. Having passed the Amnesty Law, the girl is now, grudgingly, back in her hometown. Bitter memories of difficult times surface, causing strong discomfort.
