Synopsis:

In 1968, young activist Fred Hampton became president of the Illinois branch of the Black Panthers, who fought for freedom and an end to police brutality and the slaughter of black people. He was inspiring a generation to rise up and not give in to oppression, which put him squarely in the line of fire for the government, FBI and police who, in order to destroy the revolution, had to do it from the outside…and from the inside. Facing arrest, William O'Neal is offered a deal by the FBI: if he infiltrates the Black Panthers and provides information about Hampton, he will go free. O'Neal accepts the deal. Now a fellow fighter to the Black Panthers, O'Neal lives in fear that his betrayal will be discovered, even as he ascends in the Black Panthers. But as Hampton's fiery message draws him in, O'Neal can't escape the deadly trajectory of his ultimate betrayal. Although his life was cut short, Fred Hampton's impact continued to reverberate.
