Synopsis: Donato (Wagner Moura) works as a lifeguard in Praia do Futuro, Ceará. His courage to rescue strangers is recognized by Ayrton (Jesuita Barbosa), his younger brother. In one of the rescues, Donato meets Konrad (Clemens Schick), a German tourist. It doesn't take long for the lifeguard to quit his job and move to Berlin with Konrad, leaving his younger brother behind. After a few years, when the three are more mature, Ayrton decides to go to Germany in search of his brother.
