Diving in Spider Island

One of the most interesting leisure activities in Mozambique beach is Diving in Spider Island. Located between the beaches of saint and Mozambique, Ilha das Aranhas is composed of two islets in an 'L' shape, which guarantees sheltered places for all wind directions. It has seven slots that allow exciting dives. The rocky shores form steep walls, where experienced divers can go up to 30m deep in some spots, but there are other shallower spots. The visibility of these places varies a lot, and the best condition is when the swell comes from the south, because with it the waters are very clear and with warmer temperatures. Access is via Barra da Lagoa channel and takes 18 min on days with little wind.
