Acrobatic Jumps in Solitude
The oldest still call the small cove between Costa de Dentro and Saquinho Praia do Rio das Pacas, but it became known as Solitude Beach. The place that lives up to its name is surrounded by hills of abundant green and its 850 meters of beach are sought after by the tranquility of the place - despite the rough sea.
In addition to the sea, another attraction is hidden in the middle of the Atlantic Forest. Crossing the wooden bridge over the Rio das Pacas, go up, on the right, along a rustic trail to the Cachoeira da Solidão, which forms a natural pool of clear water. While adults prefer the beach, the waterfall is the favorite spot for children. A rope tied to the branch of a tree works as a vine, from which the patrons perform acrobatic jumps.
At Praia da Solidão there is a restaurant and can also be reached by car. By bus, get off at the end of the Costa de Dentro line and walk to the beach.
