Taught by the curator Kamilla Nunes, the course 24h of Brazilian Contemporary Art takes place from May 14 to July 2 (eight meetings), on Mondays, from 19 pm to 22 pm, at Espaço Embarcação. The course addresses the work of 16 Brazilian artists with productions between the 1960s and the present day. They are artists who deal with different languages (painting, installation, video art, drawing, collaborative art, performance, embroidery, etc.). There are 24 hours of polyphonic, anachronistic and non-linear dialogues, in addition to theoretical, critical and poetic approaches, of works/artists that sometimes operate by consensus, sometimes by dissent. At each meeting, an artist binomial is studied, a first of historical relevance, whose production took place between the 1960s and 1990s, and a second with production between the 2000s and the present day. Each class is configured as an exhibition and, for this, images, videos, texts by artists, theoretical references and imagination exercises that occur inside and/or outside the Vessel are used.
