A University of Vale do Itajai (Univali), offer the Junior Barista Extension Course, with the objective of training professionals to act as Baristas in an international coffee standard, according to SCAA standards, as well as guiding coffee shop owners to introduce specialty coffee in their operation. The course allows participants to develop knowledge and skills for a connoisseur and opinion maker of specialty coffee.
