The photographic exhibition disseminates images that portray transformations that have taken place in the surroundings of the XV de Novembro Square between the 19th and 20th centuries. 30 images that are part of the municipal collection or were donated for the exhibition are on display. Among them, the reproduction of a painting by Vicente Pietro, artist who accompanied the emperor Dom Pedro II and the imperial entourage on their visit to Santa Catarina Island, in 1845. In addition to enjoying the exhibition, visitors can get to know the space and consult other collections available in the place, part of them made up of donations made by the population.
The activity aims to publicize the work done by the House of Memory, which works as a documentation center for the municipality's social and cultural life, with a rich collection for consultation.
