Karibu Trio – Project 12:30

! - This event/schedule has already happened - !

The 12:30 Project presents cultural attractions such as music, dance and theater on Wednesdays, outdoors, in Varandão do CCE, with free attractions open to the community. This year, the project takes place fortnightly.

Formed by Francois Muleka (guitar and voice), Max Tommasi (battery) and rock thunder (fretless bass), the Karibu was created in early 2010 when the three artists came together to produce a sound that spoke about the influences that the city can bring to people and their relationships.

Karibu is a term that in Swahili, the African language, expresses welcome wishes, denoting the desire of the members to present simple songs in complex arrangements, but accessible and interesting for musicians and “non-musicians”.
