You don't have to be dressed as a woman, but most partygoers are pretty whimsical. There are entire blocks of nuns, charming penelopes, doctors, housekeepers... It's a day full of color, makeup and costumes for the males of the Island. There are also those who dress modestly with just a dress or wig. And even the daring ones that go as a man! In the past, there were several blocks that were organized to parade in Bloco dos Sujos, but currently, only one remains, the am+I. The rest of the staff goes on their own and in groups of friends.
