Campeche is also famous for the paradise Campeche Island, located about two kilometers from the beachfront. There are several boat and schooner trips especially for the Island that leave from Praia da Armação, Barra da Lagoa and Campeche itself.
There you will find archaeological sites, lithic stations, rocky monuments, sambaquis and trails. Also, if you take the snorkel, you can see beautiful fish between the rocks. There is also a guided tour of the underwater trails. The calm sea and the crystal clear water provide good sea bathing.
