As Dunes do Campeche shelter an area of ​​121 hectares and are listed as Natural and Landscape Heritage of the Municipality, by Dec. 112/85, being a Permanent Preservation Area (APP). It is characterized by fixed, semi-fixed and mobile dunes, all situated along the beach. In these places there is vast vegetation of restinga, herbaceous, shrub and arboreal; and also undergrowth.
