Despite receiving more tourists each season, the services available in this region are still scarce. Exchange offices and bank agencies are far from the center of Pântano do Sul, but most establishments accept cards. There are small markets and pharmacies, which help in the “quick fix” style. Taxis are scarce, but there are bus lines that stop close to the beach. From downtown, you must go to the Integrated Terminal of Rio Tavares (TiRio) and take another bus to Pântano do Sul beach. On the sandy beach, there is a delimited space for cars, but parking can be difficult during the high summer season. Police vehicles make rounds around the center and along the beachfront, which does not tend to have major confusions. Lifeguards walk along the beach on the days of greatest risk, but there is no complete structure of posts.
