Whale Watching

During the winter months, the Whale Watching gains space every year at Praia da Solidão. They look for warmer waters to give birth, and this is also where the mother teaches their first swims. Some of them find calm waters and ideal temperature on the coast of Florianópolis, mainly in the southern beaches. With luck, it is possible to observe whales very close to the beach playing with their calves and showing off for the observers. Remember if: Whales are endangered animals. Just enjoy the beautiful landscape they form in the water, don't get close to take pictures or mess with them!
