The region is close to Saint Anthony of Lisbon, which has a municipal health post and a police post. There are no large supermarkets and bank branches are scarce. Most establishments accept cards, but it is useful to set aside some cash before visiting Sambaqui. there is an bus terminal called TiSan (Terminal Integrado de Santo Antônio de Lisboa), which is on the banks of the SC-401, and provides the transport service to Sambaqui. Taxis are scarce in the region, even in summer. Most services are located in Santo Antônio de Lisboa.
