Exhibition about Henrique da Silva Fontes at the Public Library of Santa Catarina

In the year in which it turns 170 years old, the Santa Catarina Public Library hosts yet another exhibition about intellectuals who practiced their craft in the Santa Catarina territory. Starting next April 10th, at 19pm, it's the public's turn to discover the exhibition "Between Thoughts, Words and Works: Legacy of Henrique da Silva Fontes". The free visitation continues until May 17th, always from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 19pm.

The exhibition aims to show the profile of a public man who held various functions and positions, whose image that remained for posterity is that of an educator. From his intellectual legacy, we see a collector or keeper of the past, with documents of intimacy and public life, which allows readers of the present to glimpse his presence in the intellectual history of Santa Catarina.

The exhibition had a management group made up of Professor Msc. Ada Carolina Freitas Fontes, Engineer José Henrique Orofino da Luz Fontes and Professor Dr. Maria de Fátima Fontes Piazza; and a curatorial nucleus made up of Professor Dr. Ana Luiza Mello Santiago Andrade, Professor Dr. Maria Teresa Santos Cunha and UFSC History Course academic Sara Vinter Schmitt.
