Public Library of the State of Santa Catarina | Library in Florianópolis The Public Library of the State of Santa Catarina was created in 1854 by the then president of the province. Today it is sought after by more than 30 thousand users/month. The collection with more than 110.000 volumes, includes reference works, rare works, general works, literature and special subjects. Access to the books is free, and the user is guided through the consultation terminals on computers.
