A Oktoberfest, that arrives at your 34ª edition, is consecrated as the most famous of Santa Catarina's October festivities. This year, the October will be held from 4 the 22th of october. The main focus of the party hustle is the already traditional Germanic Village Park, in Bairro da Velha, 2,5 km from the city center, with an area of 39 thousand square meters. The typical bands give a special charm to the party playing traditional German music. In addition to music, more than 20 gastronomic points offer the best of typical German food. The most popular typical dishes are Kassler (pork chop, accompanied by white and red sausage, puree and sauerkraut), ice beans (pork knee with puree, sauerkraut and white and red sausages) and Roast Mallard (dolphin served with stuffing, rice, red cabbage and mashed potatoes and apples).
