History of the Lady Manuela Schooners

20 years ago a dream was born. A new venture in which Mr. Aldemir José de Souza, a very experienced fisherman and lover of what he does, gives up a tradition, an old family business: catching fish.

As an artisanal fisherman he had a lot of pride and satisfaction, but times were different and he could no longer survive fishing.

It was then that he decided to launch a new project and transformed his vessel in which he used to fish, called “Aniquim”, into a scuna. He dedicated himself and bet everything he had and what he didn't have to make that dream come true.

This scuna was made for the sole purpose of transporting tourists and introducing them to the beauties and charms of our Lagoon. At first he made some trips to Campeche Island with his old vessel, after he turned it into Scuna Lady Manoela and dedicated himself only to the tour of the Lagoon, using his pier, which has public deed and paid for. for the use of the navy which means the use of waters.
