As Canasvieiras is a popular resort for tourists from different countries, the infrastructure is good. It is possible to find police stations, private clinics and the Policlínica Norte (from the city hall), currency exchange bureaus, internet and fax, registry offices, telephones where national and international calls can be made, the fire department, bank, post and travel agencies. There is a large bus terminal, the TICAN (Terminal Integrado de Canasvieiras). But it is not close to the center. It is necessary to take another bus, from TITAN, to reach the beach, and the Circular Canasvieiras line. The Polyclinic and the Fire Department are located next to the TITAN. Be aware: there are no lifeguard stations on the beach.
