Nudism

Galheta is the only beach on the island of Santa Catarina reserved by Municipal Law for naturism, an ancient practice that welcomes fans from all over Brazil and even abroad. O nudism it is characterized by the total acceptance of the body as good, without anything wrong or shameful, consequently admitting nudity in appropriate spaces, in a social context of mutual respect. The commitment to the preservation of nature is also part of this lifestyle. There is the Associação Amigos da Galheta - AGAL, ​​a non-profit organization that fights for the officialization and integral preservation of the Park. Naturists have stood out over the years as guardians of the Park, collecting garbage, fighting not only against undue occupation and the depredation of fauna, flora and soil, but also recovering the vegetation with the planting of trees. Naturism was made official in Praia da Galheta, by unanimous vote of the Florianópolis City Council, through the CMF Law nº 195/97, with admission of the practice of nudism exclusively on the beach, without mandatory character.
