Avante Cultural Recreational Sports Association

The Associação Recreativa Cultural Esportiva Avante was founded on March 30, 1947, under the name of Avante Futebol Clube, in a meeting held at the headquarters of Clube 7 de Setembro.

At the beginning of its trajectory, the association focused mainly on maintaining a football team, made up of fans from the region. Only in 1953, after disagreements between the boards of the two clubs, it was decided to build its own headquarters, on land donated by Arnaldo Lisboa, at Rua Cônego Serpa.

From the construction of its headquarters, Avante grew, offering, in addition to sports activities, balls and periodic parties. At the same time, Clube 7 de Setembro went into decline and ended its activities in 1963. In 1980, on the right bank of the Caminho dos Açores, the Deputado Henrique de Arruda Ramos sports square was inaugurated, consisting of an official soccer field, a soccer field Swiss, parking, bar and changing rooms.
