The Spider Islands are composed of two islets, Aranha Grande and Aranha Pequena, in a triangular shape, opposite by their bases, which guarantees sheltered places for all wind directions.
Located on the northeast coast of Santa Catarina Island, in front of the hill of the same name, between Pedra das Aranhas and Ponta do Calhau Miúdo. Both islands are formed by steep shores. There are no beaches or natural harbors.
On Ilha Aranha Grande there is a predominance of shrubby vegetation, while on Ilha Aranha Pequena there is a predominance of undergrowth formed by grasses and herbs.

This set of islands has seven slots that allow for exciting dives. The rocky shores form steep walls, where experienced divers can go up to 30m deep in some spots, but there are other shallower spots. The visibility of these places varies a lot, and the best condition is when the swell comes from the south, because with it the waters are very clear and with warmer temperatures.
