Rio Vermelho State Park

to the south, the Rio Vermelho State Park is limited to Barra da Lagoa. To the north, Rio Vermelho; to the west is the Conceição Lagoon and to the east the Mozambique beach. A place known for its excellent infrastructure for camping and even space for motor home. It is always a good idea to make a reservation, as it is very crowded in high season. Giant trees also attract for their beauty. In the park is located the administration and a post of the Environmental Police. Located about 3 km from the Bar Channel, the permanent preservation area has 1100 hectares and protects an extensive coastal sandbank that joins Morro das Aranhas to Barra da Lagoa, forming a diversity of systems such as wetlands with mangrove vegetation, native vegetation masses, mobile dunes, exotic forest and fixed dunes. Created in 1962, it has an extensive area of ​​reforestation with exotic trees, such as Pinus Eliotti.
