How to get to Praia do Moçambique and East of the Island

Access to the beach is not signposted. There are two ways: coming from the Center, via Lagoa da Conceição, and coming from the north via Ingleses. The most common is the route coming from the center:

When crossing the Pedro Ivo Campos Bridge, towards the Island, turn right, following the contour curve of the bridge exit, which passes under the two bridges, Pedro Ivo Campos and Colombo Salles. At this point, pay attention to the signs on the lane: Via lanes 1 and 2 (left) access Avenida Beira-mar Norte, on the way to Barra da Lagoa. Lanes 3 and 4 (right) lead to the city center. Go left (lanes 1 and 2) towards Beira-mar Norte (Av. Rubens de Arruda Ramos), the main avenue of the city, passing under the old and beautiful Hercílio Luz Bridge, newly renovated.

Continue straight ahead and on your left you will have the sea of ​​Baia Norte, counting on the right side with the wall of buildings and other commercial points of the avenue. Continue along the avenue, as points of reference you will see, on your right, on the other side of the avenue, the Majestic Palace Hotel (where the avenue is renamed Governador Irineu Bornhausen) and further on the Angeloni Supermarket (5 km).

Attention: Along the way, there are radars next to the traffic lights, controlling the maximum speed of 80km/h, in addition to preventing the red light from advancing.

Leaving Beira-Mar Avenue

After passing Angeloni Supermarket, stay tuned. In front of Integrated Culture Center (CIC), you must take the exit 2 and go up the Elevado Wilson Kleinubing, following Avenida da Saudade, which extends for 1 km to the access interchange to Lagoa da Conceição and east beaches on the right, along Rodovia Admar Gonzaga (SC-404), and to the beaches of north, straight ahead, along the José Carlos Daux Highway (SC-401). Follow the right lane.

Passing through the Itacorubi neighborhood, where Udesc (State University of Santa Catarina), Celesc (Santa Catarina Electric Power Stations) and other entities are located, and then start the ascent of Morro da Lagoa. The path is winding in the midst of the green of privileged places and mansions that lead to the top of the hill, where you can find the viewpoint to Lagoa da Conceição. Our tip is to stop at the viewpoint to enjoy the view.

After going down the hill, the Lagoa da Conceição neighborhood begins. At the first intersection, Avenida Afonso Delambert Neto begins. Continuing along the avenue, pass the Posto BR and the various establishments that exist, here there is a roundabout, go straight ahead, taking 'Rua dos Barzinhos', turn left, go straight, arriving at a bridge, towards Avenida das Lacemakers (SC-406). Okay, we arrived at the famous Conceição Lagoon.

At the end of Avenida das Rendeiras, continuing to the right, you reach Avenida Prefeito Acácio Garibaldi S. Thiago. Moving on, you will have the intersection, on the left, for those going to Praia Mole, Barra da Lagoa e Mozambique beach, along the Manoel de Menezes highway, and going straight you will arrive at Praia da Joaquina. Turning left, going up the hill, you will find it right in front of Praia Mole. Next door, walking along the strip of sand on the left, is Praia da Galheta, famous for being a nudist beach. By car, going straight ahead and down the hill, you have Barra da Lagoa and just after the isolated Mozambique beach.

Moving forward, you will reach English, which is already part of the North Route Beach.
