Leisure

Sambaqui is a quiet neighborhood that meets the needs of its residents, who value a quiet and simple lifestyle. The region gained prominence because of the high-end gastronomic restaurants that were installed there. Stroll on the beach, observe the landscape, the cultivation of oysters and shellfish and the fishery are activities that are part of the way of life in Sambaqui. Still concerned with maintaining the Azorean identity, the residents join cultural groups that sometimes make presentations of papaya ox, ribbon stick and mousetrap. In search of movement, it is easy to move to Saint Anthony of Lisbon or to other nearby neighborhoods. On Sundays, you can find samba parties in fishermen's houses. They became real shacks, selling drinks and snacks and lots of people dancing samba to the sound of live music.
