Crepes

Very thin or fuller, soft or crunchy to measure, traditional or suzette, the crepe is a dough made from eggs, wheat flour and milk. It became popular in several regions of Europe, mainly in France, due to its special flavor and the speed of cooking. In Floripa, some places are experts on the subject, whether with Swiss crepes, crepes on the plate or even galletes bretonnes (salted crepes made with buckwheat flour). Pastas are also varied, such as whole wheat, vegan, corn (for celiacs). Curiosity: The first known crepe recipe was found in France around 1390, in a book called Manger de Paris (Parisian Food). The main street food in Paris, it is said that the crepe was born when a woman accidentally spilled some of this porridge on the stove and soon realized that it was quick to cook, easy to prepare, and most importantly, very tasty. Harmonization: The crepe dough combines with different types of fillings, such as ham, cheese, vegetables, meat, corn, dulce de leche, etc. The main drinks that pair well with crepes are water, wines and cider (apple sparkling wine). The Floripa Guide shows below some creperies in the city for you to satisfy your hunger and taste a delicious crepe. Bon appétit!
