The great attraction of the place are the ecological trails and accessible to all. Result of a public-private partnership, the project aims to serve everyone with ecological paving, without the use of cement. Along the trail, guide ropes and signs with information in English, Spanish, Braille and Libras were installed. In all, there are 131 meters in the middle of native forest with more than 100 species of trees identified. As the boards play an important role in the Park's Environmental Education project, they were made of metal and received a protective film to make them last longer.

Those who want more information about the flora and fauna of the Córrego Grande Ecological Park can count on kiosks for guidance and specialized guides, available throughout the opening hours.

After discovering the trails, a good alternative is a rest on the edge of one of the two lakes. If children do not like to be still, they have the option of going to the playground, remembering that the presence of a responsible person is required to attend.

Sports activities are also encouraged within the Park. For this, it has a kiosk of the Municipal Sports Foundation and two sports courts. The courts are open to the entire community and to use them, just book in advance.

In the park there are also Yoga and Tai Chi Chuan classes. Master Mônica Santana teaches Yoga classes on Wednesdays. Classes are free and to participate, all you need to do is bring a treadmill to do the exercises.

Environmental education

The Municipal Environmental Foundation - Floram maintains a nursery and a greenhouse for research and cultivation of native seedlings. During the day, visitors are attended by guides who explain the work developed by Floram. There is the Woody Benson butterfly garden, which allows direct contact between visitors and insects, all native to Florianópolis. The space seeks to raise awareness of the importance of animals for the maintenance of natural environments and biological diversity.

There are also craft paper workshops on site. The project aims to encourage people to adopt the 3R's method (reduce, recycle and reuse) on a daily basis, based on small changes in habits. The workshop is open to both schools, seniors groups and non-governmental organizations, as well as the community at large. Groups already formed can schedule a visit by calling (48) 3338-0021. People from the community interested in participating in the project must register and wait for groups of ten students to form.
