Costa da Lagoa is an old fishing village located in an isolated part of Lagoa da Conceição, surrounded by huge hills covered by dense Atlantic Forest.

In addition to the bucolic and preserved landscape, which takes care of this important corner of the capital of Santa Catarina, Costa da Lagoa is one of the places that still preserve remnants of the culture left by the Azorean immigrants.

Access to the location can be done in two ways: by trails, in the midst of vegetation, or by boat crossing the gentle waters of Lagoa da Conceição.

To arrive by boat, you must use the Lake Transport from the city, a system of boat-bus, that takes people to the region of the Coast. Buses depart from two terminals: one next to the bridge located at Centrinho da Lagoa (stone bridge) and the other from the Rio Vermelho Lake Terminal.

The boat trip is worth it and can end at one of the many restaurants in the region, which offer the fishermen's tradition of preparing the freshest seafood at very affordable prices.
