The Victor Meirelles Museum occupies a typically Portuguese-Brazilian townhouse from the end of the XNUMXth century, which in the past was the birthplace of the painter, draftsman and professor Victor Meirelles de Lima, one of the greatest exponents of Brazilian art.
On the upper floor, where the family lived, the partitions are still maintained, where there is a permanent exhibition of the artist's works. On the lower floor, where Victor Meirelles' father's market used to be, there are periodic exhibitions of artists from Santa Catarina.
