Unmissable tour: Beira-mar Norte Avenue

A must for anyone visiting the Island, the North Seaside Avenue, the name by which Avenida Jornalista Rubens de Arruda Ramos was known, in the Capital, is always full of people walking, strolling, cycling (there is a bike lane for practicing the sport), exercising, inventing skating maneuvers or simply driving. It doesn't matter what time it is, whether it's morning, afternoon or night, for Av. North Seaside is always a little while, even if it's raining.

Bordering the North Bay, facing the continent, the sea is on one side and on the other, luxurious buildings, large hotels and shops of all kinds - it is one of the most valued areas of Florianópolis. Especially when the sunset, one of the biggest attractions of the Avenue, decides to appear, the light reflected in the waters, in various shades of orange, is an invitation to nature lovers. Some people stop the car to better see this show of colors in the late afternoon.

Beira-mar Norte Avenue is an essential part of the daily lives of tourists and residents of Floripa. There are several businesses here that are useful for people of all ages and interests. There are specialty restaurants, fast food chains, squares, snack bars, bars, and the Beiramar Shopping Mall, with countless shopping and entertainment options.

The main End Year's Party of the city also takes place in Beira-mar. Every year, several shows, a Christmas tree and fireworks enliven the Avenue. During the event, the six lanes, three in the central-north direction and three in the north-central direction, are blocked to the passage of vehicles and open to the crowd that takes over the space.

But not only for parties lives on Av. North Seaside. The bad days are clearly perceived when an accident happens or the traffic jam goes too far.
