Location Praia dos Azores Florianopolis

A Azores beach, wedged between the Pantano do Sul beach and Solitude Beach, it's a quiet beach, just the right style for those who enjoy peace.

There is no geographical division with the Pântano do Sul beach, which makes the beach very extensive. It is the best planned resort on the southern tip of Santa Catarina Island.

From the beach, you can see the Três Irmãs Islands and Moleques do Sul. To complete, the hills of Pântano, Costa de Dentro, Trombudo and Córrego dos Naufragados surround the place, offering nature lovers ecological trails in the midst of the preserved Atlantic Forest.

Natural Features of Azores Beach

Praia dos Açores has no physical limit with Praia do Pântano do Sul, and the two beaches add up to approximately 3 km in length.

Praia dos Açores is the southwest portion of this strip of sand. This area is open to the ocean, with choppy waters and strong updraft, a characteristic that leads to the formation of holes in the sand, leaving the sea floor uneven and more dangerous.

The beach has a wide strip of clear sand, and the sea has bluish and cold waters, characteristic of the beaches in the south of Florianópolis, with medium waves.

The action of the winds is quite intense, as it is an area that does not have the protection of the coast that shelters the calm waters of the Pântano do Sul – a condition that makes surfers happy because it provides good waves for the sport.

Ponta da Régua establishes the southwest boundary, which separates Praia dos Açores from the Solitude Beach.
