Winter is the season when the Soup Buffet gains status as a main dish. Many restaurants warm up the cold nights of Florianópolis by serving different soups.
Curiosity: Soups consist of a broth, usually with meat, chicken, vegetables and pasta in pieces. When the pasta is replaced by rice, it gets the special name of soup. When blended in a blender and thickened with milk and flour, it is called cream.
