Mostra Curtas Catarinense FAM: announced the selected films for the 2020 edition

The list of the six films that will be screened at the Show is published, especially for productions in the state 

A Competitive Show Short Films from Santa Catarina do 24th Florianópolis Audiovisual Mercosul Film Festival will consist of six selected films. Florianópolis, Palhoça, Chapecó and São José will represent the State in this edition.

Among those selected, three directors are rookies and another three return to the FAM - two women, three men and a film with collective direction.

"The White Death of the Black Sorcerer", directed by Rodrigo Ribeiro | Florianópolis | Documentary | 10 minutes;

"Home", directed by Cíntia Domit Bittar | Florianópolis | Drama | 18 min ;

"blessing", directed by Joelmir Zanette | Chapecó | Documentary | 20 min;

"Immersion", directed by Mercedes Rodriguez and Rodrigo Amboni | Florianópolis | Drama | 20 min;

"Mousetrap", directed by Carlos Adelino | Palhoça, São José, Florianópolis | Drama | 11 min;

"Bloody", directed by Débora Espit | Palhoça | Drama | 9 min.

FAM's programming director, Marilha Naccari, highlights that this is "one of the best selections of all time".

The best films will be chosen by the Popular Jury.

Realization of this edition

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic there were some complications. Therefore, the realization of FAM 2020, which will initially take place from September 24th to 30th, depends on the #SomosTodosFAMdeCinema crowdfunding campaign. Donations can be made on the platform Improvement, which ends this Friday (21).

Anyone who secures their ticket for the Mostra Curtas Catarinense session will also be supporting culture and helping to ensure the Festival takes place.

Production

The 24th Florianópolis Audiovisual Mercosul is produced with the Cultural Incentive Law, Celesc support with the realization of the Panvision Cultural Association, Muringa Audiovisual Productions, Special Secretariat for Culture, Ministry of Citizenship, Pátria Amada Brasil, Federal Government.
