'Recorte – Palhoça na Estrada' project holds triple show in Laguna this Friday (15)

This is the second event of the initiative, which will take place in a total of 10 cities in Santa Catarina

The project "Cutout - Palhoça on the Road" has already started to travel across the map of Santa Catarina. After a public success at the opening show in São José, the artists from Palhocens continue their trip to Laguna. This Friday (15), the initiative will promote a triple show. 

In this second event, the Another Art Laboratory Seal opens the doors to welcome bands Akanoá, soul cream e Yaju and the Hypertensives in a celebration of Santa Catarina's original music. The party will start at 21pm and each performance lasts an hour on average.

It is worth noting that the Outro Selo Laboratório de Arte is located at Rua Acioly Brito, number 255, in the Mar Grosso neighborhood, in Laguna.

10-city tour

“Recorte - Palhoça na Estrada” will continue over the next few months, passing through eight other cities in the state. The program will continue until mid-June, with musical performances and round tables on the music scene. 

On Saturday (16), the project will pass through Criciúma, in a triple presentation at Parque das Nações. On Sunday (17), a chat will be held at the Tourist Service Center (CAT) – a space attached to Parque das Nações.

Due to its relevance to state culture, the project is made possible with resources from the Federal government e Paulo Gustavo Cultural Emergency Law, by Santa Catarina Cultural Foundation (FCC).

Artists involved

One of the roots of the project is the band Soul Cream. Formed by Dierre Pichorz (guitar and vocals) Jorge Kloppel (down) and Oliver Sylvester (drums), the trio creates an original sound that mixes R'n'B, rock, funk, soul and blues. This essence has already been presented at important events such as: UFSC Festival, Entre Rios Song Festival, in Rio do Sul, na Florianopolis Cultural Marathon and the 9th Santa Catarina Rock Week. Additionally, they just released the EP “Samsara fleet”, which had repercussions in the specialized media, in addition to two live sessions and an EP of reinterpretations. 

Formed in 2018, Akanoá has been collecting releases and shows in spaces considered relevant to the local scene. Among the recorded works are the EPs “An idea in this world","Project" is live sessions do Collective The Bubble. Formed by Anderson Oliveira (low), Caetano Cainã (drums), John Thibes (vocals) and Matheus Barbi (guitar), the band continues working on the production of their first album.

The other band emerged from a different context. After releasing the EP “Years Before The Bad Times", the singer yaju decided to expand his horizons and team up with friends to create new music and reinterpret old ones. Thus, Oliver Silvestre took over the drums, Dierre Pichorz incorporated the bass and Thiago Santos He took over the guitar. Together, they played on 9th Week of Rock Santa Catarina and recorded a live sessions produced by the collective A Bolha.
