Kart driver from the Automobile Federation of Santa Catarina is champion at Interlagos

The first stage of the race took place in early February at the Ayrton Senna karting track in Interlagos. SÃO PAULO LIGT KART CUP which is considered the most disputed competition of the category in Brazil, had more than 230 pilots from several Brazilian states.

The pilot Renato Frota Pionti, affiliated by FAUESC (Federação de Automobilismo de Santa Catarina), in its first competition in Interlagos, it won first place in the Cadet Rookie category.

The pilot had difficulties on the weekend of the first stage, suffering an accident during the time-taking, crashing into the wall with tire protection, starting at the end of the grid with his reserve kart, but during the two races he overtook well and won his first trophy at Interlagos.

“During the time test, I had an accident, and I ended up crashing into the wall, with the tire protection, and that's why I ended up starting at the end of the grid with the spare kart, but during the two heats I managed to make some overtakes and I got to First in my category, these first stages are important for me to gain experience and evolve in the sport.”

Renato Frota Pionti competes for the team STK RACING, with instructor Ulisses Rolien, and will participate in the second stage of the competition, on March 04th, and will seek to remain firm among the first in its category.
