Peterson Crisanto commanded the air show at CBSurf Floripa Pro

the paranaense Peterson Crisanto commanded Wednesday's (September 7, 2022) air show at CBSurf Floripa Pro at Praia Mole presented by the Florianópolis City Hall. This is the fourth stage of the Main Division of the Professional Circuit of the Brazilian Surfing Confederation (CBSurf) and is being carried out with the sponsorship of the Municipality of Florianópolis, through the Secretary of Culture, Sport and Youth.

Peterson Crisanto made the records of the day, conquering the marks of Ceará Michael Rodrigues and from Santa Catarina Matthew Herdy, who also excelled in the good waves.

Krystian Kymerson, the leader of the Brazilian Surfing Confederation's professional ranking, debuted with victory. But the deputy leader, Alan Jones, became eliminated in the tiebreaker.

The first highlights of the rainy Wednesday, but with good waves at Praia Mole, were Mateus Herdy and Michael Rodrigues, residents of Florianópolis who always surf on the CBSurf Floripa Pro stage. But all the records of the day were broken by Peterson Crisanto.

“I'm happy, because I hit all the airs. I've been training a lot in the air and now I'm getting more back in the heats”, said Peterson Crisanto“We always train, but sometimes it's difficult to hit the heats, because of the emotion, adrenaline and such. But now I'm more focused and the result is there.

The athlete from Paraná was part of the CT elite until last year, but then, an injury took him out of competition for a long period. He returned to training and competing this year and is now in an impressive phase, being runner-up in the last two Brazilian Surfing Confederation events in which he participated.

Another surfer, Michael Rodrigues, was a finalist in the QS stage that took place at Praia Mole in 2021 and 2022, being runner-up in the first and champion this year. He was the first to come close to the numbers of CBSurf Floripa Pro absolute record holder Mateus Herdy.

On Tuesday, he did a full rotation aerial that received a unanimous 10 from the five judges and totaled 19,77 points. Mateus is the current Brazilian professional champion of CBSurf and gave another show on Wednesday, winning with an aerial score of 8,17.

On the fourth day of competition, the women's category begins, with 36 surfers from 9 states in the country debuting in the eight heats of the first phase.

Among them, Santa Catarina Taina Hinckel, which leads the Brazilian ranking with two victories in the three stages held. She just didn't win the one in Saquarema (RJ), but she was champion in the first one in Matinhos (PR) and in Alagoas (AL), two weeks ago.
