Comida di Buteco 2023 reveals the champion of the Florianópolis circuit

The winning bar will participate in the national stage of the contest

After 23 days of competition, Comida di Buteco revealed the top three in the 5th edition of the competition in Greater Florianópolis, in 2023. The award event took place at the Hotel Mercure, in the Capital, and was attended by representatives of each bar, jurors, sponsors, press and supporters.

First place in the contest was Botequim das Flores located in sambaqui, in Florianopolis. Completing the podium, second place was conquered by Bendito Boteco located in Pedra Branca, in Palhoça, and third place went to Nacanoa Oyster Bar, located in Ribeirao da Ilha, in capital. The winning bar will represent the region in the national contest that will elect the best bar in Brazil in a special ceremony in July.

Elisa da Cruz, partner of Botequim das Flores, did not need to remove the champion belt, in all the editions she participated, she did not leave the podium, right at her debut she was in third place, in 2021 she was in second, last year she was in first , and this time took the second championship to Sambaqui. “This year we participated in the contest with a lot of determination and will, I was the first to arrive and the last to leave the restaurant, it was very tiring. We were very confident with our snack and with the service, and we had a feedback positive feedback from customers who frequented the restaurant. It was very rewarding,” he says.

The 26 participants were visited by the public and the judges, who voted and elected the champion, evaluating four categories: snack, service, hygiene and temperature of the drink. In the second stage, a new committee of judges, chosen specifically for that moment, visits the champions of each city, evaluating their performance in the same four categories. Each champion receives three judges, and then the best bar in Brazil is chosen, which will be known and awarded in a special ceremony, in the month of July.

O Buteco Food was born in 2000, in the city of Belo Horizonte, as a promotional activity of the extinct Rádio Geraes FM, made to rescue family pubs and local cuisine. Today, the contest takes place across the country and takes place in April, simultaneously in all cities, marking this period of the year as the month to celebrate buteco culture in Brazil.
