Five films competing for the 2020 Oscars are on display on Cinemulti's January 23-29 schedule

Cinemulti previews "Judy: Far Beyond the Rainbow" in Florianópolis. Feature starring Renée Zellweger has a single session on Friday (24); the premiere of the week is the thriller "The Lighthouse".

The first movie theater in the south of Florianópolis, the cinemulti, will have on Friday, January 24th, a unique preview session of the feature "Judy: Over the Rainbow" (or simply Judy). Starring actress Renée Zellweger, the film that is nominated in the categories of best actress and best makeup at the 2020 Oscars is scheduled to be shown at 21:45 pm.

Premiering the week of January 23-29 is the dramatic thriller"The headlight" (The Lighthouse), at 19:40 pm. The feature, which is directed by Robert Eggers, competes in the best cinematography category at the 2020 Oscars. Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe are the stars of the film.

The romance "Lovely Women", directed by Greta Gerwig, competes in six categories: best film, best actress, best supporting actress, adapted screenplay, costumes and soundtrack. "Little Women", the novel is shown at 13 pm.

The animation "Frozen 2", produced by Disney and competing in the category of best original song, at this year's Oscars, continues at 15:30 pm, in the dubbed version.

The Brazilian comedy starring Paulo Gustavo, "My Mother is a Piece 3" continues on, with sessions at 17:35 pm. And at 21:45 pm (except on 24/01), the movie on display is "The Scandal" which is based on the American case that became known as Bombshell, when three women accused then-president and chief executive of Fox News, Roger Ailes, of sexual harassment. The film is up for Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress and Makeup at the 2020 Oscars.

Cinemulti is located in Multi Open Shopping, on the Tavares River, in Florianópolis. The entrance fee from Monday to Wednesday costs R$ 20 for the full amount and R$ 10 for the half (elderly, students and teachers upon proof), from Thursday to Sunday and holidays the value is R$ 25 and R$ 12,50 for halfway through. Payment can be made in cash, card (credit and debit) and bitcoin.

"Lovely Women" (romantic comedy) – sessions at 13 pm.
Synopsis: Sisters Jo (Saoirse Ronan), Beth (Eliza Scanlen), Meg (Emma Watson) and Amy (Florence Pugh) come of age at the turn of adolescence to adulthood as America navigates the Civil War. With completely different personalities, they face the challenges of growing together by the love they have for each other.

"Frozen 2" (musical animation) dubbed - sessions at 15:30.
Synopsis: Back in Elsa and Anna's childhood, the two girls discover a story of their father, when he was still prince of Arendelle. He tells the girls the story of a visit to the forest of the elements, where an unexpected event would have caused the separation of the city's inhabitants with the four fundamental elements: air, fire, earth and water. This revelation will help Elsa understand the origin of her powers.

"My Mother Is a Piece 3" (national comedy) – sessions at 17:35.
Synopsis: Dona Hermínia (Paulo Gustavo) will have to rediscover and reinvent herself because her children are forming new families. This supermom will have to hold back her emotion to deal with a new life scenario: Marcelina (Mariana Xavier) is pregnant and Juliano (Rodrigo Pandolfo) is getting married. Dona Hermínia is more anxious than ever! To complete the confusion, Carlos Alberto (Herson Capri), her ex-husband, who was always around, now decides to move into the apartment next door.

"The headlight" (dramatic suspense) – sessions at 19:40.
Synopsis: Beginning of the XNUMXth century. Thomas Wake (Willem Dafoe), in charge of a lighthouse on an isolated island, hires young Ephraim Winslow (Robert Pattinson) to replace his previous assistant and help with daily tasks. However, access to the lighthouse is kept closed to the novice, who becomes increasingly curious about this private space. As the two men get to know each other and tease each other, Ephraim becomes obsessed with finding out what is happening in that enclosed space, at the same time as strange phenomena begin to happen around him.

"The Scandal" (dramatic biopic) – sessions at 21:45 (except on Friday, 24/01).
Synopsis: Television news giant and former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes (John Lithgow) finds his power questioned and his career upended when a group of women accuse him of sexual harassment in the workplace.

"Judy: Multi Over the Rainbow" (dramatic biopic) – single preview session at 21:45 on 24/01.
Synopsis: Winter 1968. With her career at a low ebb, Judy Garland (Renée Zellweger) agrees to star on a tour of London, even as such work keeps her away from her younger children. Upon arrival, she faces loneliness and known problems with alcohol and medication, making up for what went wrong in her personal life with her dedication on stage.
