Selected Short Show Mercosul FAM 2020 are officially announced

12 films from five Mercosur countries will be part of the exhibition, which will be entirely online in this edition

The organization of Florianópolis Audiovisual Mercosul Film Festival (FAM) continues to publicize the selected films, but has not yet been guaranteed, considering the crisis coming with the pandemic. Fulfilling the commitment with the 832 films submitted for the 24th edition, the selected ones are being released little by little. This Tuesday (18) the list of films selected for the Mostra Curtas Mercosul was released.

The show in this category was the most attended of the FAM 2020, scheduled to be held from September 24th to 30th.

The best films in 2020 will be chosen by the Popular Jury.

The works selected for the Shows Long Fiction Mercosur and for the Santa Catarina Short Film Show. Furthermore, it was reported promotion exclusive to sessions online - which is open until next Friday (21).

Realization of this edition

Now adapting to the format online, the festival depends on the crowdfunding campaign #SomosTodosFAMdeCinema, which can be seen on the platform Improvement. The campaign ends this Friday (21).

Anyone who secures their ticket for the Mostra Curtas Mercosul session will also be supporting culture and helping to ensure the Festival takes place.

At the Curtas Mercosul Show, 12 films from five countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Peru. Two productions from Santa Catarina, one being a co-production with Argentina and eight international productions with three co-productions.

Production

The 24th edition of Florianópolis Audiovisual Mercosul is produced under the Cultural Incentive Law, with support from Celesc and held by Associação Cultural Panvision, Muringa Produções Audiovisuais, Special Secretariat for Culture, Ministry of Citizenship, Pátria Amada Brasil, Federal Government.
