The Juggling and Circus Congress that has been taking place in the east of the island, based on the Rio Vermelho campsite, stirred tourists from Barra da Lagoa with a procession of artists along the beach and a performance in Cidade Nova. The piece mixes art, culture and fishing activities from the municipalities on the coast of Santa Catarina, with an evident influence from the Azores Archipelago. One of the recipients was Carin Machado, international director of Casa dos Açores in Santa Catarina.
