Vera: 50 years of art

Whoever goes to Brasilia cannot miss it. Opens on the 28th for guests and the show by artist Vera Sabino is on display until September, at Galerias Picola I and II, of CAIXA Cultural do Distrito Federal. These are unpublished paintings from the artist's collection, from private collectors and public institutions, inspired by the flora of the cerrado. “A Mulher”, “Os Santos”, “As Flores” and “O Bruxólico”, are part of the exhibition set in the stories of Vera's work that portray the nature of Brasilia, where Vera lived when she was young. The exhibition is also filled with poems by Semy Braga, the artist's husband, and texts by the writer Michelline Barros, who, alongside Antonio Fasanaro, is the curator of the exhibition. To further immerse themselves in Vera Sabino's universe, visitors can watch a documentary video about her trajectory, entitled “The island in me”, by filmmaker Suélen Ramos Vieira Vale.
