President Denisson Moura de Freitas signs document that seals the Palhoça company as the only supplier from the South of Brazil at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics (Disclosure)

Olympic Komeco

Komeco, from Santa Catarina, will be the official supplier of air conditioning and water heater equipment for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics. President Denisson Moura de Freitas received the document at the company's headquarters, in Palhoça, last Friday and forwarded the signature to the Rio 2016 Games Organizing Committee, formalizing the negotiation. The partnership had already been symbolically signed in January between director Sandro SeitiSuda and the president of OCOG, Carlos Arthur Nuzman. In addition to winning the seal, Komecos will be the only company in the south as an official supplier of the event with more than 20 thousand air conditioners and gas water heaters that will be used by more than 10 thousand athletes in the Olympic Village.

Rio 2016

The locals and their thousands of tourists who are still enjoying Rio at 40 degrees, breathe the Olympic air. It was at the Sambadrome, it was on the beaches, it was at Christ and Sugarloaf Mountain... everything is the Olympics. And the works are day by day improving life in the city. If Rio was already beautiful, now it is wonderful.

That hug

In four days of coming and going through the streets, avenues, sambadrome, subways, beaches and night bars in Rio, I saw no trouble, fights or dragnets. The city dawns clean and Rio remains beautiful... Hot even just on the sand on the beach.

Thermometer

Taxi drivers, everyone knows, are thermometers of the political class and daily life in the city. But don't talk about Governor Pezão... They jump up and down. They say they got a big blow in that place with the arrival of private taxis.

Taxi driver

Compared to Floripa, a taxi ride through the streets of Rio is much cheaper. The starting flag there is R$5,20, while here it starts at 7 clubs. From Santos Dumont airport to Ipanema it takes 40 bucks. From the international (sic) Hercílio Luz to the neighborhoods of the Itacorubidá basin, almost 50 paus.

In the rain

Passengers laughed when the Azul flight arrived last Monday, coming from Campinas, in the Hercílio Luz parking lot. In the absence of fingers, the airline attendants could have also missed the target when attaching the ladder to the aircraft door. Rainy day then, just with an umbrella!!! Shame!

International?

Anyone leaving the truly international Campinas airport is left open-mouthed by the precarious conditions at Hercílio Luz. From the excellent facilities for passengers in transit with great cafes, such as the number of counters and restrooms to the food court with several restaurant options, everything It reminds me of the Island's terminal... in reverse, of course!

King Christ

My granddaughter Aroha, only nine years old, had never been to Rio de Janeiro... she wanted to visit the Copacabana promenade. So pretty! She loved Christ the Redeemer, like her silly grandfather, who at 59 years old, climbed Corcovado for the first time... what a spectacle!

There and here

Rio seen from above is reminiscent of Floripa: hills, lagoon, beaches, embankments and the old center. From below: trickery, slang, gingas, football, samba, surfing, sweat and beer.

All blue

Flying with Azul reminds you of the good times at Transbrasil: service, cordiality, friendliness and good snacks. In addition to its Azul in-flight magazine with great reports and panoramic low-flying flights leaving Rio de Janeiro in February and March. It's all blue!
