Badesc Cultural Foundation promotes lives with short film directors from Santa Catarina selected for the Brazilian Cinema Grand Prix 2020

Meetings take place on Tuesdays, on the Foundation’s Instagram (@fundacaobadesc)

In order to promote Santa Catarina productions, the Film club of the Badesc Cultural Foundation, promotes three lives with directors of short films from Santa Catarina who are running for Grand Prix of Brazilian Cinema 2020. The meetings take place on Tuesdays, starting at 19 pm on the Foundation's Instagram, at @fundacaobadesc.

The filmmaker and curator of the Fundação Cineclube, Vanessa Sandre, will present the lives. The first will be on May 19 and will feature the participation of director Cíntia Domit Bittar. Cíntia will talk about Baile, an 18-minute short filmed in Florianópolis.

To watch the short films from Santa Catarina that are competing for the award for free, just access the website PortaShorts.

The program continues on Tuesday, May 26, with the participation of the director of the animated short Pillows of Feathers, Joseph Specker Nys and on June 2, the conversation will be with Ilaine Melo, director of the short documentary License Poetic.

These are three films from Santa Catarina among the 61 selected in the first stage of the award. The works are composed of fiction, animation and documentaries.
