In the first week of 2021, Paradigma Cine Arte reopened with a curatorship of films that escape the traditional circuit. Now, the cinema screens 16 new films from the Varilux French Film Festival. With this, the cinema team indicates titles, among these, that are being more acclaimed by the public in Florianópolis. The festival continues until the 27th.

On the list are titles such as "Mais Que Especiais, DNA", "My Vacations with Patrick", "A Boa Wife", "Meu Primo" and the classic "Acossado", by Jean-Luc Godard, in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Nouvelle wander. The schedule is available with three sessions a day, at 14 pm, 17 pm and 20 pm, following strict safety protocols against the coronavirus.

The most varied genres are being shown, from comedy to thriller. In addition to the films with the greatest repercussion by the public, there are several other unpublished titles, presenting the best of current French cinema.

"More Than Specials", by Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache, is a comedy that addresses the friendship formed between Bruno and Malik, two men who have dedicated their lives to caring for children and adolescents with autism for over 20 years, each working in a different organization. "DNA", directed and starring Maïwenn, follows Neige: a divorced mother who cultivates strong bonds with her Algerian grandfather Emir, the man who raised her and protected her from the toxic atmosphere that marked her relationship with her parents, always visiting him in the asylum. for the elderly where he lives.After Emir's death, Neige's family is destabilized, triggering a deep crisis in Neige.

A romantic comedy that is also doing well is "My Vacation with Patrick" , which tells the story of Antoinette, who goes after her lover Vladimir when he cancels the romantic vacation they had planned. "the good wife", directed by Martin Provost, stars Juliette Binoche as Paulette Van Der Beck, a teacher at a home life school where she trains teenagers to become perfect housewives. "My cousin", directed by Jan Kounen, is about Pierre, the executive at the head of a large family business, and his cousin Adrien, who owns 50% of the company's shares. Already the drama "harassed", by Jean-Luc Godard, is a 1960s classic being shown at the Varilux Festival in honor of the 60th anniversary of the Nouvelle Vague. It features protagonist Michel Poiccard, a criminal obsessed with Humphrey Bogart, who steals a car, kills a He goes to Paris, where he meets Patricia Franchini, a beautiful American girl who sells newspapers on the Champs-Élysées. Poiccard tries to persuade her to flee with him to Italy, without telling her that he is a fugitive from justice.

The use of a mask is mandatory; alcohol gel is available and temperature is measured at the entrance. The cinema is working with 30% of seats occupied and a distance of 1,5m between seats, with seats blocked.
